Sustainable development
We believe in sustainable development and are steadfastly committed to the development of environmentally friendly products for our customers as well as those employed in our manufacturing processes. The installation of a 200kWh solar power plant was completed in 2011 and provides for up to 40% of our electrical demand.
ICHEMCO over the years
1979
Ichemco established in Sedriano (MI). Business activity focus on leather, textile, plastic, rubber, adhesives.
1982
Acquisition of a production facility in Pogliano Milanese. Manufacture of primers, antioxidants, acrylic water dispersions and PVODC release agents in solvent begins.
1989
Ciba-Geigy (later Ciba Specialty Chemical, now BASF) appoints Ichemco as official distributor for their antioxidant division in the Italian adhesive market.
1994
Expansion of the production facility, machinery and beginning of the solventborne PSA productions. Beginning of its distribution network and the expansion into the global PSA market.
2000
Dow Corning (now DOW) official distribution agreement for the silicone release and PSA in the Italian and neighboring countries for the PSI market.
2003
Build of new modern production facility in Cuggiono (MI) with 20.000 m² area. Product portfolio expands to include SIS hotmelt PSAs, new waterborne release agents and UV curable PSAs.
2007
Beginning of the PVODC release agents production in powder form.
2011
Self-production of electricity resulting from the installation of a photovoltaic system, covering 40% of the plant electric energy demands.
2014
Beginning of SIS hot-melt PSAs production in pillows.
2016
The continuity of the company is consolidated with the transition to the second generation of the Curioni family.
2018
Double extension of the non-silicone PVODC release agents production. Expansion of the solvent borne PSA production. Transition to digitalization of the production processes.
2022
Opening of the commercial company Ichemco Kimya in Turkey and Dow official distribution.
2023
Important step towards the circular economy: implementation of zero waste production in the release manufacturing. New fully automatic packaging station for our antioxidant blends.
2024
Second investment to increase PVODC release agents production by 50%. Dow distribution agreement expansion to DACH and western Europe countries. Ichemco rebranding.
