Safety policy
The Management of ICHEMCO SRL gives the utmost importance to this principle when defining company strategies and objectives, with the firm intention to operate in compliance with worker health and safety and environmental protection. We are aware that some of the operations carried out in the course of our business may pose risks to both people and the environment (we use hazardous materials, carry out chemical reactions, operate at high temperatures, produce many products classified as hazardous under current regulations, manage production waste and effluents, and ship goods under ADR regulations), with the potential risk of accidents in case of spills or accidental contact with people or property. Our goal is to prevent, control, and eliminate risks by intervening already at the stages where they may potentially arise. For these reasons, ICHEMCO SRL:
- Operates in full compliance with current laws and regulations applicable to its business, including those voluntarily agreed upon with clients and other interested third parties;
- Periodically assesses critical issues related to worker health and safety;
- Monitors the environmental impact of its processes, striving to minimize negative effects;
- Has established an internal organization with assigned roles and responsibilities aimed at ensuring compliance with regulations on worker health and environmental protection, the continuous improvement of workplace safety, the personal protection of individuals exposed to risks, and the control of factors that could cause injuries, incidents, or occupational diseases;
- Employs properly trained personnel;
- Promotes worker consultation and participation in actions to improve workplace safety and environmental protection;
- Monitors the wear and tear of systems and equipment, preventing their deterioration;
- Provides only products that, when used, handled, stored, distributed, and disposed of according to applicable regulations, ensure safety for both the user’s health and the environment;
- Assesses the risks related to business activities, identifying appropriate actions to prevent, eliminate, or at least mitigate them, reducing their impact to a minimum level on the company structure, workers, the environment, and the community;
- Identifies the third parties involved in its processes, aiming to understand their needs and requirements and to implement necessary actions to meet them, in accordance with the latest editions of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standard;
- In accordance with Amendment 1/2024 to the ISO 9001 standard, is committed to monitoring the environmental impact of its activities, particularly with regard to GHG emissions and their contribution to climate change;
- Considers the development opportunities that may arise from effective enterprise risk management.
This policy is displayed for all employees and is available to the public.
