RELEASE W 40 S2 is a water-based release agent based on synthetic polymers.
RELEASE W 40 S2 is designed as a release agent for porous substrates (Kraft paper, masking papers, non-wovens, fabrics), in contact with hot-melt and natural rubber adhesives.

Quantity to apply depends on substrate porosity, normally from 1 to 3 grams dry/sqm. Coating technologies: Meyer bar, reverse roll, roto-gravure, air knife.
Product can be thickened with acrylic thickeners, or diluted.
We recommend to dry the coating, by heating for a few seconds at 150°C, so that after crosslinking it achieves the highest properties of releasing and hydrophobicity. However, results are still good (although inferior) even at lower temperatures.
Ageing properties are excellent.
The product is supplied in iron drums (200 kg); IBC containers (1000 kg).
Despite a good freeze-thaw stability, keep material preferably at temperatures between +5°C and +40°C. Avoid storing in direct sunlight.
When stored for over one month it is necessary to stir the product for 10 - 15 minutes before use.
Use within 9 months from production date (unopened and in the original packaging).
