PRINTABLE RELEASE COAT FOR PP ADHESIVE TAPES
RELEASE ST4 is a heterogeneous solution of synthetic resins in alcoholic/hydrocarbon solvents.
RELEASE ST4 is a new compound in solvent solution, designed to replace the normal Release coat (Release PP 25) in the production of PP tapes, in order to achieve tapes which will be printable with a one step printing machine (similar to PVC tapes, without using primer and release, and using only suitable inks). No corona treatment is necessary.

Before use, RELEASE ST4 must be well stirred, till perfectly liquid. Temperature of product should never be below 20°C before application (preferably between 25-35°C).
Dilution: 1 pp with 15 pp of a blend of toluene and isopropyl alcohol (70:30).
The final solution will be applied on untreated BOPP film of 32-35 micron for 4-5 g/sqm wet. Coating must be perfectly dried and adhesive must retain less than 0,6 g/sqm of residual solvent.
· Pick up rolls must carry 80 lines/cm
· Rubber cliché must be resistant to aromatic hydrocarbons
· Drying system must be very efficient
50 / 200 liters metal drums
RELEASE ST4 gels at low temperatures and must be kept at 20°C or above.
In case of freezing, good heating and stirring will be necessary. Stirring must also be made every time before taking out partial quantities from containers.
PP tapes coated with RELEASE ST4 can be easily printed in a one step process. We also have a proper range of polyamidic inks : Color Inks PP PAM+ADD., one component inks, ready for use.
