Description
RELEASE W 40 HA82 is a water-based product composed of synthetic acrylic polymers, modified with additives that impart extremely high water repellency to the substrate to which it is applied.
Application
RELEASE W 40 HA82 is recommended as a release agent for porous substrates, such as kraft paper, masking paper, fabrics, and nonwovens, which are to be coated with either hot-melt PSA, rubber-based PSA, or water-based acrylic PSA.
Handling
The quantity to apply depend on the porosity of the substrate: 3 to 5 g/m² dry weight (on impregnated paper 3 g/m² dry weight is recommended). Application methods include Mayer Bar, Reverse Roll, Roto Gravure, or Air Knife, possibly after dilution or thickening with acrylic thickeners.
Once the product is thoroughly dried and cross-linked (at 150°C for a few seconds), it imparts good anti-adhesive properties to the substrate and, above all, outstanding water repellency. The stability of these characteristics remains excellent even after prolonged aging.
Packaging
The product is supplied in iron drums (200 kg); IBC containers (1000 kg).
Storing
Store the product at temperatures between +5 and +40°C, away from direct sunlight.
The product tends to separate, so we recommend mixing it with a slow-speed mixer for 10–15 minutes before use.
Use within 9 months from production date (unopened and in the original packaging).
