Description
COLOR INK NS are nitro-cellulosic inks in ethanol and ethyl-acetate solution, suggested for flexographic printing of corona treated PP and PE films for the production of adhesive tapes.
Application
They must be applied on the corona-treated side of the PE, PP film (38- 42 dynes/cm).
If coated on the backside of adhesive tapes, inks must be protected with a release coating: RELEASE PP 25 DILUITO.
COLOR INK NS are suitable for the under-printing with any type of adhesives (hot-melt, solvent or water based adhesives).

Handling
To increase anchorage on PP, COLOR INK NS have to be added with ADDITIVE NS (5% max, depending on the level of corona treatment which must be 38 dynes/cm at least).
Dilution: 10-15%, with Diluent C NITRO (ethyl acetate) or, when cliché does not resist to acetate, use DILUENT RPVC (blend 80/20 of ethanol/ethyl-acetate).
To decrease evaporation speed, use 1-5% of RETARDER C NITRO (methoxy-propanol).
The ink must be completely dry before adhesive or release coating.
Packaging
10-20-25-170 kg drums, 500 kg tank
Storing
Shelf-life is 6 months.
After the addition of ADDITIVE NS, use the product within a few days.
Use within 6 months from production date (unopened and in the original packaging).
