Description
RELEASE W 40 HA8 is a water-borne release agent, based on synthetic acrylic polymers compouded with additives, capable to grant very high water repellency to the backing.
Application
RELEASE W 40 HA8 has been designed as a release agent for porous substrates, like Kraft paper, masking papers, non wovens, fabrics, which are supposed to be in contact with hot-melt and solvent adhesives.

Handling
Quantity to apply depends on substrate porosity: from 3 to 5 g dry/sqm (on coated paper we suggest 3 g dry/sqm). Methods: Meyer bar, Reverse Roll, Roto gravure, Air knife.
The product can be either thickened (acrylic thickeners) or diluted.
It is advised to heat the product for a few seconds at 150°C in order to achieve the highest properties of releasing and hydrophobicity. However, results are good (but inferior) even at lower temperatures. Ageing properties are excellent.
Packaging
The product is supplied in iron drums (200 kg); IBC containers (1080 kg).
Storing
Despite a good freeze-thaw stability, keep material preferably at temperatures between +5°C and +40°C; avoid direct sunlight.
The product tends to stratify, so it must be stirred slowly for 10 - 15 minutes before use.
Use within 9 months from production date (unopened and in the original packaging).
