Description
RELEASE W 40 GB4 is a waterborne release agent based on acrylic polymers added with special releasing agents. RELEASE W40 GB4 LV is the low viscosity version.
Application
RELEASE W 40 GB4 has a limited release power: it has been developed for hot-melt adhesives. It can be used on porous substrates, like Kraft paper for masking tapes.

Handling
The quantity to apply depends upon the substrate porosity, usually from 1 to 3 g dry/sqm.
Methods: Mayer bar, Reverse Roll, Roto gravure, Air knife.
It can be either thickened (acrylic thickeners) or diluted (water).
We recommend heating the product for a few seconds at 150°C during drying to activate a self-curing process that will achieve the highest release power.
Ageing properties are excellent.
Packaging
The product is supplied in iron drums (200 kg); IBC containers (1000 kg).
Storing
Keep material at temperatures between +5°C and +40°C, avoid direct sunlight/freezing.
When stored for over one month, it is necessary to stir slowly the product for 10 - 15 minutes before use.
Use within 9 months from production date (unopened and in the original packaging).
