S-HT-8 High Temperature 8 Bank Oven Shear Tester
The ChemInstruments S-HT-8 High Temperature 8 Bank Shear Tester is designed to
perform high temperature shear tests. PSTC-7 Procedure C, TLMI Test No. 7 and ASTM
D 3654 Procedure C for Holding Power of Pressure Sensitive Tapes, FINAT FTM-8 are performed on
HT-8. The standard model has switches that can withstand temperatures up to 250°
F (120°C). Additionally, the S-HT-8 High Temperature 8 Bank Shear Tester can perform
shear tests in humidity chambers or freezers.
The S-HT-8 has several features that make it easy to use as well as reliable:
- Mechanical switches can be calibrated to trip when using weights from 100
to 1000 gms.
- Adjustable feet allow the user to level the testing plane.
- Easy to read .5" (1 cm) LCD timer display can be set to time in hours, minutes
or seconds.
- Uses standard 2" x 3" (5 x 7.5 cm) stainless steel test panels as specified
in PSTC test methods.
The S-HT-8 has additional features that make it very versatile:
- Removable panel racks help to avoid wide temperature swings.
- Adjustable angle panel rack allows user to quickly switch test angle from
178° to 90°.
- Clock box, connected to oven unit with a 6' (2 m) long high temperature
cord, can be placed on top of or next to oven.
- Self contained power supply.
