Description
DEFOAMER FL9 is an antifoam emulsion based on organo-modified siloxanes.
Application
DEFOAMER FL9 provides a reliable foam control and a long-term efficiency, especially in pressure sensitive adhesives. It may also be used in aqueous media, as well as in the processing and application of polymer dispersions, emulsions and a multitude of other industrial applications where the use of traditional silicone oil based antifoam agents is
restricted.

Handling
In most applications it is better to pre-dilute DEFOAMER FL9 in water (1:1 to 1:10); water must be added to DEFOAMER FL9 slowly and under stirring. Depending upon the application, the required dosage may vary from 0.05 to 0.2 %. Suitable screening tests are therefore recommended. Dilution of DEFOAMER FL9 may proceed by adding the desired amount of water to DEFOAMER FL9 while stirring gently at low shear rates. The predilution will shorten the storage stability.
The product has to be stirred before use.
Packaging
The product is supplied in plastic drums (25 kg); plastic drums (50 kg); IBC containers (1000 kg).
Storing
Protect from freezing, keep at temperature between + 5 and + 40°C. Stir well before use.
Use within 12 months from production date (unopened and in the original packaging).
