RELEASE W 40 S is a water-based release agent based on synthetic SBR polymers added with releasing agents.
RELEASE W 40 S has been designed as a release agent for porous substrates, like Kraft paper, Masking papers, non wovens, fabrics, which are supposed to be in contact with hot-melt and solvent adhesives.

Quantity to apply depends on substrate porosity: from 2 to 4 g dry/sqm (on coated paper we suggest 3 g dry/sqm). Methods: Meyer bar, Reverse Roll, Roto gravure, Air knife.
It can be either thickened (acrylic thickeners) or diluted.
It is advised to heat the product for a few seconds at 150°C in order to achieve the highest properties of releasing. However results are good (but inferior) also at lower temperatures. Ageing properties are excellent.
Keep material at temperatures between +5°C and +40°C, avoid direct sunlight
When stored for over one month it is necessary to stir product for 10 - 15 minutes before use.
Viscosity can be increased, according to the adapted coating system..
