Description
RELEASE MC 20 PP is a masterbatch made of a PP-based polymer and a non-silicone polymeric release agent (RELEASE C100).
Application
RELEASE MC 20 PP is recommended for the coextrusion of PP films used in the production of adhesive tapes and protective films. RELEASE MC 20 PP was developed for the production of multilayer films where the top layer must have release properties. This solution is ideal for those who want to obtain a film with anti-adhesive properties without using solvents to dissolve the PVODC release agents.
Handling
Release MC 20 PP must be compounded with PP polymer on the outer side of the film only, in amounts ranging from 20% to 100%, depending on the required release properties. The optimal thickness of the final layer should be as thin as possible; currently, the recommended target is 3 microns.
Since the masterbatch has a high average molecular weight, no migration is expected when used correctly.
As the dosage of Release MC 20 PP increases, so too will the water-repellent properties.
Storing
RELEASE MC 20 PP in its original form (granules) can be stored without any problems at any temperature below its melting point.
Store in closed containers, protected from direct sunlight and moisture.
Use within 24 months from production date (unopened and in the original packaging).
