Description
RELEASE W 40 GB12 is a water-based compound made from acrylic dispersions modified with various special release agents.
Application
RELEASE W 40 GB12 is suitable for use on porous substrates, such as kraft paper for masking tapes, to provide release properties upon contact with self-adhesive materials. It is recommended for use with hot-melt adhesives and solvent-based rubber adhesives.

Handling
It is applied to Kraft paper using a Meyer Bar, Reverse Roll, Roto Gravure, or Air Knife, possibly after dilution or thickening with acrylic thickeners.
The amount to be applied varies considerably, depending in part on the porosity or roughness of the substrate: generally, 1 to 3 g/m² dry is used.
After drying, the system cross-links; this process is optimized when a temperature exceeding 150°C is reached for a few seconds.
The film’s aging characteristics are considered excellent.
Packaging
The product is supplied in iron drums (200 kg); IBC containers (1000 kg).
Storing
Store the material at temperatures between +5 and +40°C, despite its high freeze-thaw stability.
Mix the compound with a slow stirrer for 10–15 minutes before use.
Use within 9 months from production date (unopened and in the original packaging).
