Description
COLOR TAPE HM AVANA 5I (brown) are very efficient pigment masterbatches aimed to the colouring of adhesives, either solvent or hot-melt based. No need of using of solvents. They are free flowing and suitable for a continuous adhesive production process.
The addition of COLOR TAPE HM AVANA 5I to the adhesive does not practically modify the adhesive properties, including its ageing, and is not cause of corrosion to the metal parts of production plants.
Aspect: dust free flakes

Other ingredients: dispersing agents, antioxidants, hydrocarbon resins as binder
Application
COLOR TAPE HM AVANA 5I are very easy to handle, dust free, without any storage and packaging disposal problem.
Being in flakes form and based on non toxic materials, products are very safe and clean in handling (see Safety Data Sheet).

Handling
Suggested use: 6-8% on the dry content of the adhesive (approx 50-60% of usual pigment pastes).
By the case of solvent adhesives, COLOR TAPE HM AVANA 5I can be introduced directly into the mixer, during any phase of the adhesive preparation, either manually or pneumatically. In the latter case, it is strongly recommended the use of inert gases (such as nitrogen or carbon dioxide) to avoid explosion hazard due to the metaloxides friction. In case of a continuous add-on into a screw extruder non-stop process, the masterbatch can be dissolved in a mixer with solvent to 60-70% TS (Total Solids). To achieve a continuous feeding of the paste, it is necessary to alternate the use of two containers.
Packaging
The product is supplied in sacco carta 20 kg (20 kg).
Storing
Use within 12 months from production date (unopened and in the original packaging).
