RELEASE W 38 CR is a cationic alcoholic solution of a release agent containing an organometallic complex based on trivalent chromium.
RELEASE W 38 CR has been designed as a hydrophobic release agent for porous substrates, like Kraft paper, masking papers, non wovens, fabrics and non porous substrates as PP and PET plastic films, which are supposed to be in contact with hot-melt, solvent and water-based acrylic or SBR adhesives.

Quantity to apply depends on substrate porosity: from 0.4 to 2.0 g dry/sqm. It can be diluted with water and alcohols at 5-15% accordingly to the coating method.
pH must be kept below 6 to avoid sedimentation, add hexametylentetramine (HMT) or urea to reach a pH of 3-4. Keep the diluted solution at temperatures below 35°C to avoid sedimentation. Stir well before use.
Dry the product at high temperatures: 90-110°C. Being a cationic solution, use only stainless steel apparatus to avoid corrosion.
The product is supplied in iron drums (190 kg); ADR compliant IBC containers (1000 kg).
Keep material preferably at temperatures between +5°C and +30°C.
When stored for over one month it is necessary to stir product for 10 - 15 minutes before use.
Use within 6 months from production date (unopened and in the original packaging).
