CA-1000 Combination Rolldown / Adhesion Tester

The ChemInstruments CA-1000 Combination Rolldown/Adhesion Tester insures that samples are prepared and tested under repeatable condifions. The CA-1000 economically increases the testing capabilities of the lab by functioning as a Rolldown machine and also by performing 180° peels. With the appropriate accessories, the CA-1000 can be used to perform PSTC 4 test.

The CA-1000 has several features which permit quick adjustments for custom test requirements:
  • One switch allows either a single roll down or repeat cycles.
  • Accepts test panels up to 2" x 8" (5cm x 20cm).
  • Adjustable stroke length.
  • With variable speed option you can run coefficient of friction test.
 The Rolldown/Adhesion Tester meets the following PSTC requirements:

Appendage B, Section 2.7 for Rolldown Machines:
  • Standard laminating speed of 12 inches/min (30cpm).
  • 4 ½ lb. (2 Kg) Shore A scale 80 durometer rubber covered roller.
  • Roller is 1 ¾" (4.5cm) wide and 3 ¾" (9.5cm) in diameter.

Appendage B, Section 2.2.1 for Adhesion Testers:

  • Samples peeled at 180°.
  • Standard speed of 12 inches per minute (30 cm/min).
  • Uses a force gauge or load cell to measure force.
  • Accurate to +/- 0.5% of full scale.
