| Tackwhite AMC 28 |
Description
TACKWHITE AMC 28 is an ultra-removable pressure sensitive adhesive, based on acrylic microspheric polymers in water.
The particular polimerization tecnique allows to obtain high dimension particles (about 30 micron).
Application
TACKWHITE AMC 28 is suitable for the production of removable and replaceable paper labels.
It is necessary to use a suitable primer (Primer MC-K), the adhesive is applied by transfer coating.

Handling
TACKWHITE AMC 28 may separate over time: this is typical for this type of adhesive. Mix before use: adhesive will readily redisperse with mild agitation. Check pH and adjust to 9 or higher values with ammonium hydroxide solution, if necessary. If the pH of the adhesive falls below 8,5, coagulation may occur. Air operated diaphragm pumps are recommended to pump the adhesive. Avoid the use of high speed centrifugal pumps, they could damage the microspheres.
The recommended coating weight range is 15-20 g dry/m², according to paper porosity and to the desired final effect.
The product must be applied by transfer coating on primerized paper, traditional coating systems (Mayer bar, rotogravure,...) can be used.
Packing
TACKWHITE AMC 28 is supplied in 1.000 kg tank containers or 200 kg drums.
Storing
TACKWHITE AMC 28 must be stored at temperature between +5°C and +40°C, avoiding freezing conditions.
Keep containers closed to maintain proper pH. Shelf life is 3 months.
The product tends to separate over time, stir well before use.
