Description

Release PP 25 DIL. is a solvent solution of a polyurethane release agent.

Application

Product is designed to be employed as a very efficient release coat on polypropylene, polyethylene, PVC and polyester films.
It is used in combination with natural rubber, synthetic rubber and acrylic adhesives.

Handling

Apply 3 - 5 g/sqm of Release PP 25 DIL. as such or after a slight dilution (10 - 20%) with toluene or hexane, as a final overcoat after printing. Drying must be very efficient, in order to avoid any solvent residue, which could cause ink transfer to the adhesive side.
If polyamidic inks are used, a very small transfer of colour into the release bath is to be considered acceptable and does not affect the quality of printing. It is necessary to dry completely the product.
It is suggested to use specific inks (as our Color Inks PP NITRO), that are insoluble in Release PP 25 DIL. solvents.

Packing

Product is supplied in 20 kg or 185 kg drums.

Storing

Product must be stored at temperatures higher than +18°C.
Shelf life is 6 months.

Notes

Release PP 25 DIL. has the tendency to freez when stored at temperatures below +18°C: solution will become hazy and some powdery residue will fall to the bottom of container. In such a case, the efficiency will be affected.
Properties can be restored completely by stirring the solution, after heating it up to 30-50°C, until perfectly clear.
