| Primer EPA-SOL DRY |
Description
PRIMER EPA-SOL DRY is a rubber and synthetic polymer formulation, in a 100% solid form. When in solution it is a very efficient primer designed for coating on corona-treated polypropylene film, before the application of the adhesive, in order to produce pressure sensitive tapes.
Application
PRIMER EPA-SOL DRY can be easily dissolved in a mixer by the addition of toluene/hexane. Prepare a 10% concentration solution.
It may be applied as well on treated polyethylene, on polyester and R.PVC or P-PVC (however we have specific primer for these films).
Coat approx. 3 - 5 g (wet)/sqm of this 10% solution by reverse roll or Meyer-bar.

Handling
Stir well the 10% solution before application.
In order to permit a cross-linking of the adhesive and to improve the anchorage to the film, isocyanate (CURING AGENT RF/AE, Ichemco) should be added, remembering that pot-life of the primer in that case is reduced to a maximum of 24 hours.
Ratio between PRIMER EPA-SOL (10% solution) and isocyanate:
100 : 1.5 (CURING AGENT RF/A, Ichemco).
Packing
40-50 Kg fiber drums.
Storing
Product must be stored in a cool and dry place.
Shelf life is 6 months.
