Handling
PRIMER EPX-2 can be thinned with toluene and must be applied on the back side of a standard PP slitted tape on a printing machine, at the quantity of 3 - 4 g/sqm, before the COLOR INKS PP NITRO are applied.
Printing.
Tapes treated with PRIMER EPX-2 are then printed with our special COLOR INKS PP NITRO.
A final overcoat of our RELEASE PP 25 DIL. is advised, in order to give ageing resistance and easy unrolling.
Suitable printing machines like SIAT L 36 allow to make the three steps (PRIMER EPX-2, COLOR INKS PP NITRO and RELEASE PP 25 DIL) in line at the highest speed possible, viz. over 150 m/min.
Packing
20 kg or 200 l drums.
Storing
Product must be stored at temperatures higher than +18°C.
Shelf life is 6 months.
Notes
PRIMER EPX-2 has the tendency to freezing when stored at temperatures below +10°C: solution will become hazy and some powdery residue will fall to the bottom of container. In such a case, the efficiency will be affected.
Properties can be restored completely by stirring the solution, after heating it up to 30 - 50°C, until perfectly clear.
