Description

RELEASE PP 25 W is a special water based release coating developed for Pressure Sensitive Adhesive tapes to provide controlled release effect.

Application

RELEASE PP 25 W adheres well to polyester and treated polyolefins. It provides excellent release, even at the high humidity environment with rubber/acrylic solvent and hot-melt adhesives.

Handling

RELEASE PP 25 W can be used by simple dilution with deionized water to a total solids concentration of 1 - 1,5%, applying by Meyer Bar or Gravure rolls 4 - 5 g/sqm on corona treated OPP films (approx. 35 dyne/cm).
Release action is developed by flashing off the water at 80 - 100°C, depending on web speed and oven efficiency. No curing mechanism is involved.
This product may also be used as a water base over print varnish having good gloss, release power and a low coefficient of friction.
It is suggested to stir before use.

Packing

RELEASE PP 25 W is supplied in 50 kg drums.

Storing

Despite a very good freeze thaw stability, it is advised to protect from low temperatures (below 0°C).
The shelf life is at least 6 months.
